Deran DeLong is the co-founder and general manager of DeLong Construction. With the help of their father, Larry, who co-owned a similar company in Ottumwa, Deran and his sister, Dana, started DeLong Construction in 1994.

Deran serves as a church youth group leader in his free time and enjoys getting away for long weekends in the Ozarks. Deran also serves on a local church board of directors as well as the Planning and Zoning Commission for the city of Washington.
